Shalom Kobi, I've been browsing your web
site for hours today and the more I see your work the more I appreciate
it. I love the atmospheres you create and the sudden suggestive allure
you can reveal through your pictures. I am officially a fan of yours!!
I can perceive a deep sense of smoothness in your portraits and in
each frame I capture a "foolish punctum" which drives me crazy. There
are few people in the world who are capable of doing what you do......Fabio,

Hi my name is Paul, I am 24 and Iīm a Environmental
engeneering student knew your site by Bgay and now I think itīs the
best by he way wich mix photography, art ,lifestyle and the beauty
of the male body. The photos are great!I loved the story "shalom Alon".
Iīve never tought that gay lifestyle in Israel could be so modern
and fashion!Itīs great!I hope I will go there soon.I started to know
israeli modern lifestyle by the "Dana International" popularity .In
your schedule you have a trip to Lisbon.I live there!( but Iīm studing
in a small town in the north).Artists says that Lisbon has a special
light and charm.Have you ever been there? And the portuguese people
are special too (and good-looking!).By the way ,how is Alon?Is he

Hi Kobi, I just wanted to tell you that I've
recently visited your website and found myself spending way too much
time looking at all you images! You are very talented. I was just
in Cuba about a year and an half and your Cuban picture brought back
lots of memories of all the people I met and the stories they tell,
for that I thank you. I was just wonderinf if you work in black and
white. I took several black and whites while in Cuba, which seem to
keep Cuba suspended in time! I am not an artist, I just enjoy seeing
how other people look at the world. Thank you for having this outlet
out there free of charge. Sincerely, Jose D. Najar Los Angeles CA

Hi, Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your
site and especially your work. I am a keen amateur photographer, but
haven't been shooting as much footage as I should recently. Your work
is very inspirational, I love your colour work especially the highly
saturated images. I also like the simple way you display your images
through your site, one of these days I may get around to putting more
of my work on-line. I am a graphic designer from Dublin and my site
is at the URL below. Hope to see more of your work online soon. Best
Regards,Brian

noticed you've been working on your site recently...it is one of my
favorites and visit it quite often for inspiration. Thank you for
sharing your work and visions through the internet. Like the self
portraits. Thats it...I won't keep you. I am in Vancouver, Canada.
Always... Rob

Hello, Kobi!! I discovered you accidentally
while it navigated for internet, in the place "www.bgay.com." And
it was a wonderful discovery. They really impacted me the images for
you achieved. I felt a satisfaction that difficultly can be contained
in words. A good book can say that it allows us to do with other well-known
made eyes that it contributes a new point of view. And a good picture,
allows to feel in a way new and different images that its could be
vulgar or snub. Your you give to these images Soul. I didn't want
to know anything about your personal history, for not being influenced
by her. Your life seems to be intense, your sure interior is it, because
its reflected in the passion contained in your pictures. Now, in a
next visit to your it paginates I will know something of your biography.
My name is Hugo, I am from Argentina. Do you have references of my
country, do you know it? I live in Mar del Plata, a city with beaches
on the Atlantic one, to 400 km of our capital, Buenos Aires. Mar del
Plata is very beautiful. I would like to see it reflected in your
eyes, in your pictures. But... why not? ..., a hug and the best thing
for you... Hugo

I really like your photos, I'm keeping one
for wallpaper on my computer, the picture of Venice a sepia tone (the
cafe scene with the waiter in the distance), strikingly it reminds
me of Paris. I've really studied all your pictures, you have captured
something in all of them, they are remarkably great pieces of photography.
When will you be expanding your portfolio of photos on your web site,
its almost like visiting an art gallery. Will you be having a art
gallery show in Toronto in the future, it would sure be nice to see?
Hope all is well with you? Tim

Hello Kobi, Just wanted to say that you're
work is very inspiring. I am here in Long Beach, CA and have been
a professional photographer for almost 20 years. I have specialized
in advertising product photography mostly, but my passion is in photographing
people. Of course, men especially. I've been photographing male nudes
and erotic stuff and am currently pursuing that aspect of photography
as well. I share a studio with a friend of mine here in Long Beach...
I was really inspired by viewing your work on the MetroG site, especially
the man in the green field with the sprinkler. Your work looks as
though you have a distinct style, and it's quiet different from the
stereotypical gay photographer. Goodluck in your travels, and keep
up the good work. A fellow photographer on the west coast, John

Dear Kobi, by the usual surfing coincidence
I came across your site, and I have to tell you how much I liked your
photos. It is fascinating to see how you are able to transport certain
moods through your photos. Taking pictures myself I know how difficult
it is to capture the "spirit of the moment" Some of your photos reminded
me of certain situations - moments when I felt lonely in a foreign
city, situations where I felt like being part of a surrealistic piece
of art, and occations where I felt just happy to be alive. Often enough
I tried to capture these moments with my camera - sometimes successfully,
but often enough it was impossible for me. I have to admitt that after
seeing your work I would be very curious to get to know a bit more
about you as a person. Of course I read your biography and I also
enjoyed to see some of your self-portraits, but for me it would be
really interesting to share a coffee with you one day - and to talk
to you in person. The personality you express though your photos is
defintly very interesting ... and - I would lie if I didn't admitt
- you are also a very attractive guy! :-) OK - maybe it is time to
give a short introduction about myself:.... So maybe there is a chance
that one of your many trips will lead you to Germany or Poland?! It
would be really great to meet one day! (BTW - In Mykonos last year
we missed each other just by 2 days ... what a pity! :-)) I am sure
you will receive many e-mails from fans of your website - but if there
is any chance, it would be really great to get and stay in touch!
Take good care about yourself Matthias

i just e-mailed you explaining how you captured
the essence of the male body... but after looking at more of your
work... i wanted to add that through photography... you capture the
essence of not only man... but also the essence of the human spirit...
by taking pictures... you show people the world... you are awesome...

Hi Kobi, I just wanted to send a short note
saying how intriguing your photos are. As a painter working in San
Francisco, I really appreciated your sense of color. Yes it is wonderful
to be surrounded by beautiful men, but the realtionships between your
subject and the manipulation of color was very striking. You've got
a good eye. I plan on visiting your site often, just so see what is
new. Take care and enjoy, Paul

Hi , congratulations, I love your work ,
itīs joyfull , elegant , take simple things and turns its in to a
big subject , and the colors ... , well its very intense like passion

These images made a profound impression
on me with their sensitivity. They pour into you a rich cascade of
all that is good in life, all that is positive and pure. Seeing two
men in harmony with each other envelops you with the sentiment of
how beautiful such a union can be. You gave my soul and mind a feeling
of gentility and peace with your camara lens and eye for that which
is both 'real' and 'essential'. Patrick Schang Lapabe-Goastat (Spain)

Dear Sir, Your photography is splendid.
The photo of the Sunflowers with the majestic sky as a backdrop truly
moved me. The photo alone seemed to take me to a magical place of
beauty. Not since Van Gogh have sunflowers been paid such a visual
tribute. Thank you for sharing your work. I am breathless from their
power. Sincerely, Gary Evans

I have not seen everything in your website,
but I like very much what I have seen so far. I was really impressed.
I will go back to it regularly to feast on your photography and possibly
to learn more about composing my frames when i take my own photographs.
As I gathered, you also teaches digital photography. I will also be
teaching photoshop to college students starting June, 2001. I am presently
preparing my syllabus. I also hope to get a few tips from your website
or from you. More power to you. DAN

| 30/4/01 |
Kobi, I viewed most of your photos in your
gallery, especially liked the intimate portraits you shot of "the
male body" ... the Parisian boy taking a shower behind the blurred
glass is very erotic. Your photos are very real and they capture a
true essence that can only be seen through the photo lens... they
are erotic, sexy, sensual, and tug at your emotions and lift you .
All your photos, really are very good, I can aspire to such photos
because I am an artist too. Thanks for sharing them with me, they
really do inspire me and they are truly works of creative art and
expression. Tim

I have been literally gasping aloud at the
beauty of your work. What a gift! I am an image addict... first thing
in the morning, last thing at night, I seek an image to feed my soul.
It is, as I`m sure you know, so dificult to respond verbally to the
experience of anothers art. It usually makes me quieter. But, being
able to reach across the world to you to express my gratitude is too
much of a miracle to miss. I am a choreographer, but I prefer to think
of myself as an image- maker. I began with an interest in your male
photos, treasures all, (especially three men in extreme intimacy),
so powerful in your sculptural eye, so intimate, and so true despite
the aesthetic control. I don`t have the nerve to send you an image
in return, though I have been surrounded by beautiful people all my
Life. Thank you for your generous offering . Sincerely, David

Since I see the photoes you took. I find
the world is colorful! Besides, I feel that your photoes are not only
nice but also kindly. They express every kind of culture in the world.

in the present. Very nice website!

I am 27 years old, I live in Medell?n, Colombia and I am photographer
too. I want to tell you that you are a great artist and excellent
photographer. I like so much your portafolio. I would like express
other sensations about your photos, but my english vocabulary is very
limited. I just can do it with this words: I CAN FEEL IN YOUR EYES
THE DEEP SENSIBILITY OF YOUR SOUL, THANKS FOR YOUR IMAGES. GOOD LUCK

I must say the site is superb. I really
hope you finish the new photo book soon. You know what, I think there
is always a set of emotions associated with your photographs, no matter
it is sorrow, love or playful. I don't know how you do this but you
could capture emotions in your pictures and my emotions are brought
out when I see your photos. And I never get tired looking at them.
Too bad I don't have enough of money to buy them :-( I particular
like the partnership series. I don't think anybody have captured the
ordinary yet loving and togetherness of a gay couple that well. Also
after looking at your photography, I start picking up taking pictures
myself. I know I would never be as good as you but I know I love it.
Thanks for inspiring my new hobby. I can talk about this forever but
I think I am really running out of space. Also I really love the pictures
you took with a yellow or green filter. They are awesome. Take care
and hope to hear from you. With love, Sonny (US)

Kobi Shalom Your photos and site are a great
inspiration. Although I have fantasized for may years it is your site

Dear Kobi, Just thought I'd write to express
my gratitude. I stumbled across your work today and I really identified
with it. The images are the type of photos I take myself, though I
feel yours are much stronger. Thank you for sharing your beauty with
me and the world. Take care and good luck Andy Vice PS If you ever
want to take some photos in South Australia you have a place to stay!

Dear Kobi, I've not yet found my life partner...sometimes
I wonder if I'm destined only to daydream. With the "Partnership"
series it's as if you took snapshots of my daydreams. They capture
what I wish my daily life would be. I hope they are snapshots of my
future. There are so many other images of yours that I can relate
to. One of my favorites is the photo of the young couples kissing
on Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy. I lived in Florence for 6 years
and know very well the sights, sounds and smells that surrounded you
while you took that photo. I can also "feel" the images of Rome, Venice
and Greece, having been to those places myself several times. Many
of your memories are also mine. Thank you for sharing them in a way
that I am not able to. Riccardo - Arizona

overdramatic in saying your talent is unmatched, and at least, phenomeonal!

and know the camera rarely can capture with such lush detail as with
seen with the human eye.You have managed to challenge & prevail over
the senses.Bravo,Bellisimo, Cheers,& encore un fois. Please keep your

of lines to tell you I was very touched
by your website... Hi there, this is Steve, from Brussels. I was just
surfing around this morning and discovered you via gay.com. I traveled
your site and was very impressed. You ARE an artist. I was moved (even
had tears coming up... I'm not too proud to admit it) by "Follow my
heart" and "Partnership". .In the first you captured these guys so
good, but I also couild feel the tension, the sensuality that must
have been in the air at those moments. "Partnership" is impressive
too. Scenes we all have known, sometimes, and maybe would like to
experience again. Just great! I'll be visiting your site more often.
And then just dream... Hey, keep on "capturing" (I don't know if this
is the right word, but you will understand) pure beauty. And, be happy!
Personal note: you are VERY attractive yourself! and if, by any chance,
you would decide to visit Brussels some day (there are some beautiful
places here in Belgium also), just give me a sign, I will be happy
to be your guide. Have a nice day, and... a sparkling millenium! Ciao,
Steve

Dear Kobi Israel, What a delight to visit
your website. It is all top quality: the lay-out of the website, that
face of yours (to die for) and of course your excellent photographic
talent. Your pictures are incredibly beautiful. I haven't seen all
of them yet, I want to save some for later, give it time for me to
absorb them. It is too difficult to describe what I think about them,
they are too different anyway to describe in a few lines. But they
are wonderful, I'm going to look for more of your work in print. Damn,
I wish I could make photos like that. I hope that I, and the whole
world, will get to know a great deal more about you. Thanks for sharing
your work. Theo Alaerts the Netherlands

Dear Kobi: I am astonished about your amazing
job. It is inconmesurable the sensibility you have to catch the best
moment, the best angle. It is like to see the soul of the things.
I was felt in love of you because your job have fullfilled my stetic
taste. Besides you are so handsome that I will be dreaming about you.
Don't be ofended because of it but you are the human being that I
ever dream to share my life. Let me dream. Dreaming it doesnt cost
nothing to nobody ok? A warmfull hug for you from Mexico City Jos?

Kobi, I was surfing the internet one day
last week and came across your site. I find that since my discovery,
I have gone back to it over and over again, enjoying each photograph
more each time. I have just started photography as a hobby, but will
use your work as an inspiration to just do the best that I can. Someday,
I can only hope that my work comes close to yours. Thanks for the
inspiration, Joshua :-)

Mehamahot scel?...my compliments! I liked
your web site very much, the picture are really pleasant and exciting,
after other more pornographic, those like yours are really intriguing
they express love and sex, sexuality and tenderness...really even
your portrait is nice. But you know I 've always claimed that israeli
people are really very nice! (maybe for that reason too I decided
to learn hebrew ...) twice I sat for picture once it was for a spot
(or they said it was.) and a second , but i was stiff even if they
said nice things about me! . Anyway I also like the other kind of
picture you take...when I 'll get more time I'll visit you web again,
now I wanted to tell you that, again...and lehitraot Dave

Kobi, I just sent you an email, but that
was before I had a chance to fully experience your site. I am absolutely
awestruck. The fact that you share your family and yourself is so
heartwarming. I have already installed one of your photos as my wallpaper
and am presently creating a screensaver. However, I am very interesting
in receiving your FLASH film by email. I am so impressed with your
work. Monday morning I am going right out to purchase your books!
You are truly an amazing artist, and I am SO HAPPY to have discovered
your work. If you ever have an installation here in the United States
please let me know. Your newest fan, Darryl PS Extremely handsome
pictures of yourself, I might add! Again, thanks for sharing yourself

Hi Koby! Perhaps you're right when you says
that you are not the best homoerotic photographer but that's not true
if we look to your work under another light. Every photographer try
to shoot you with an image very sexual; your works are different,
very different you're tryng to take the very daily reality of love
and i say no more. You're telleing me that you're jealous because i'm
living in a romantic area? Maybe it's true but this climate and me
are not compatible (cold for me is death) but you're telling truth
when you say that this is a very paradise for images. You're asking
me how is the gay life here? she doesent exist and for the moment
that's the better thing for me (my last history has been very......)
but the life goes on......... Sorry but for this week my english is
over. If you answer me again and again and again maybe i wrote you
like a Nobel Good things P.

I have several photos of yours that I like...
the ones of your "crazy" niece are very cute. She's adorable. My real
faves are one of Prague (044721), Venice (V112129 + V112910), Children
on beach (J021622) and Love on a snap (F014504). I like these the
most because you seemed to have captured the emotion in the pictures.
They are all very magical. The ones of Prague and Venice are a mix
of a fairytale theme and a theatrical theme. The Children on the beach
playing is so innocent, you really have managed to capture the childrens
innocence and almost vulnerability there. Lastly, the love on a snap
photo is just pure love and romance in one photo. It's exactly how
I would want to be "snapped" if I was with the person I loved. All
of your photos have their own qualities but the ones mentioned above
have captured my eyes and my heart. ...

Dear Kobi, I was just browsing through the
Internet and then remembered that it was World Aids Day tomorrow,
1st December 2000. So I went to the Gay.com web site and saw your
e-cards there which are available to send to people for World Aids
Day. I have sent all of my friends your cards as I think that your
work is lovely. Your photography is outstanding. You seem to capture
a rare, almost magical sense in your photos. Anyway I just wanted
to e-mail you to let you know that your work is greatly appreciated
and has touched my heart all the way over here in the UK. Keep up
the good work. Kind regards, Ryan Taylor (UK)

Great site! Your photographs are high quality
and have class. I especially like your work with male art. Thank you
for your site. It is the best I have seen (no kidding). Michael http://www.geocities.com/WestHollywood/Heights/2928/index.html
