London is the world's centre of contemporary photography. Its exciting urban landscapes and its thriving art scene are the background to Kobi's one on one "thinking photography" workshop taking place in London

These custom workshops are specifically tailored to the needs and interests of each student. As the only student, you'll have the opportunity to cover exactly the materials and techniques of interest to you, at the pace and level appropriate to your own abilities and requirements.

The workshop is aimed to enrich your own photographic expression scope and experience photography as an exciting artistic medium for creative self expression. It is suitable for photography enthusiasts in all levels, and particularly to those interested in contemporary photography .

The workshop is intensive, and is designed to quickly make you achieve basic techniques and professional know-how, with an emphasis on your individual experience and direction.

In the theoretical part of the workshop we will examine and analyse various kinds of photographic expression (art, mass media, commercial photography etc) We will get acquainted with the work of leading contemporary art photographers such as,Nan Goldin , Sophie Calle, Richard Billingam and Robert Mapplethorpe. We will try to develop a critical approach and will learn the different styles and directions in contemporary photography.

This will be fully integrated in the practical creative work we will do in various exciting locations such as Soho, Covent Garden, Camden market and Hampstead Heath park. we will visit galleries and contemporary spaces and will experience in various locations daytime and nighttime.

Kobi’s work has received worldwide critical acclaim and recognition from a number of prestigious publications and awards. Among others, he was granted the “Judges Choice” Award at the Association of Photographers 2003 Open Exhibition and was selected as a finalist in the “Schweppes Photographic Portrait Prize 2003” at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
